National Poverty Data released today
Income and Poverty
Today the census folks are releasing national data on poverty at 10am. There will be a live feed at the above link.

"At the state level, the CPS data are two-year moving averages. This year's data will be the average for 2001 and 2002; the data
will be compared with last year's data, which are an average of 2000 and 2001. Statistically significant (reliable) changes will
be marked with an asterisk. Keep in mind that state poverty rates may be higher or lower than the national rate and may be falling
even while national poverty is growing."
