Maybe Lowndes Jail can be included.....
Complaints filed against So. Ga. jails:
"Albany- Dougherty, Early, and
Randolph County jails are accused of violating state and federal laws. Leaders of the Prison and Jail Project claim inmates are subjected to inhumane conditions.
Prison and Jail Project director John Cole Vodicka has sent a letter to the Justice Department outlining what he says is overcrowding, cruel and unusual punishment, and inadequate medical and mental health care.
'We belive that the civil rights of the prisoners in the Dougherty County jail, the Early County jail and the Randolph County jail are being routinely violated either knowingly on the part of those who run this jail or because the budget is such that they just can't afford at this moment to create the space that is constitutionally sound,' says John Cole Vodicka.
